     William Allen was born on 15 July 1807.1 He was the son of William Allen and Mary Salt Law.1 He married Clara Dalinda Bland, daughter of Francis Christopher Bland and Lucinda Herbert, on 18 August 1842.1 He died on 29 July 1861 at age 54 at St. Peter's Port, Guernsey, Channel Islands.1
