     Major Derek Wrey Savile was born in 1918.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Lawrence Wrey Savile and Jeanie Letitia Kathleen Litton.1,3 He married Benita May Cotter, daughter of George Edmund Sackville Cotter and Beatrice Mary White, on 22 July 1950.1 He died in 1992.1
     He gained the rank of Major in the Royal Artillery.1
