     Hon. Emilia Sophia Cary is the daughter of Lucius Ferdinand Cary, Master of Falkland and Anne Leith.1 She married Major Charles Thomas Grant of Grant, son of Lt.-Gen. Francis Grant and Catherine Sophia Cox, on 24 August 1798.1
     From 24 August 1798, her married name became Grant. In 1834 she was granted the rank of a viscount's daughter.1
