     Alexander James Maitland was the son of William James Maitland and Agnes Magdalene Neville-Grenville.¹ He died, young.¹

     James Ludovic Grant was born on 7 February 1765.² He was born in 1767 at Forres, Morayshire, Scotland.³ He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Francis Grant and Catherine Sophia Cox.³ He married Ann Bazett.¹ He died circa 1826, at sea off Ceylon.¹
     He was Lieutenant RN, Commander HEICS, chairman Mr Winsor's Ctee for Gas Lighting , Governor Gas Light and Coke County 1812, Master Attendant in the Honourable East India Company Service Madras 1821–27, inherited from his father the estate of Windmill H in 1807.² He was Captain of the Brunswick and London, with the East India Company Service Service.¹

     Major Charles Thomas Grant of Grant was born in 1770 at Wokingham, Berkshire, England.² He was the son of Lt.-Gen. Francis Grant and Catherine Sophia Cox.² He married Hannah (?).³ He married Hon. Emilia Sophia Cary, daughter of Lucius Ferdinand Cary, Master of Falkland and Anne Leith, on 24 August 1798.¹ He died circa 1831.³
     He was Captain Nizam's , Paymaster Royal Scots Army 1823.³ He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Army.⁴

     Hon. Emilia Sophia Cary is the daughter of Lucius Ferdinand Cary, Master of Falkland and Anne Leith.¹ She married Major Charles Thomas Grant of Grant, son of Lt.-Gen. Francis Grant and Catherine Sophia Cox, on 24 August 1798.¹
      From 24 August 1798, her married name became Grant. In 1834 she was granted the rank of a viscount's daughter.¹

     Charlotte Sophia Digby was born in 1767.¹ She was the daughter of Very Rev. Hon. William Digby and Charlotte Cox.¹ She married Sir John Sheffield, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Charles Herbert Sheffield, 1st Bt. and Margaret Diana Sabine, on 3 April 1784.² She died on 15 December 1835.²
      From 1784, her married name became Sheffield.

     Sir John Sheffield, 2nd Bt. was born circa 1743.² He is the son of Sir Charles Herbert Sheffield, 1st Bt. and Margaret Diana Sabine.^1,3 He married Charlotte Sophia Digby, daughter of Very Rev. Hon. William Digby and Charlotte Cox, on 3 April 1784.² He died on 4 February 1815, without issue.²
     He lived Normanby.² He gained the title of 2nd Baronet Sheffield. He was educated Ch Ch Oxford.²

     Elizabeth Juliana Digby was born in 1768.¹ She was the daughter of Very Rev. Hon. William Digby and Charlotte Cox.¹ She married Sir John Henry Newbolt in 1794.¹ She died in 1807.¹
      From 1794, her married name became Newbolt.¹

     Francis Cotter is the son of Martin Cotter.¹
     He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Sardinian Army.¹

     Anne Cotter is the daughter of Edmond Cotter and Ellen Sarsfield.¹
