Sir George Montgomery of Magbiehill, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. and Anne Evatt.1 He died on 9 July 1831, unmarried.1
Sir George Montgomery of Magbiehill, 2nd Bt. held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peebles-shire.1 He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Montgomery, of Magbiehill [G.B., 1774] on 23 December 1788.1 On his death, his baronetcy became extinct.1

Colonel Robert Montgomery was born on 26 February 1767.1 He was the son of Sir William Montgomery of Magbiehill, 1st Bt. and Anne Evatt.1 He died on 6 April 1803 at age 36, killed in a duel with Captain Macnamara.1
