     Brigadier Gordon de Bruyne was the son of Peter Adrian de Bruyne.1 He married Rosamond Carnegie Knox, daughter of Arthur Knox, on 19 April 1947.1 He died in 1972.1
     Brigadier Gordon de Bruyne was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.).1 He gained the rank of Brigadier in the service of the 60th Rifles.1 He lived at Eastbourne, Sussex, England.1

     Sir James Montgomery, 1st Bt. is the son of William Montgomery of Magbiehill and Barbara Rutherford.1 He married Margaret Scott, daughter of Robert Scott.1 He died on 2 April 1803.2
     Sir James Montgomery, 1st Bt. held the office of Lord Advocate of Scotland in 1766.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Peebles in 1768.1 He held the office of Chief Baron of the Exchequer [Scotland] between 1775 and 1781.1 He was created 1st Baronet Montgomery, of Stanhope, co. Peebles [U.K.] on 16 July 1801.1

     James Montgomery was born on 7 December 1809.1 He was the son of Archibald Charles Montgomery and Maria Rausch.1 He married Eleanor Anstruther-Thomson, daughter of John Anstruther-Thomson, on 19 June 1835.1 He died in 1894.1
     James Montgomery gained the rank of officer in the service of the 3rd Dragoon Guards.1 He lived at Lillington, Warwickshire, England.1
