     Major-Gen. Rowland Broughton Mainwaring married Evelyn Jane Archdale, daughter of Captain Mervyn Edward Archdale and Emma Inez Goulding, on 4 August 1880, this marriage produced no children.1 He died on 22 November 1926.1
     Major-Gen. Rowland Broughton Mainwaring was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.).1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the 23rd Royal Welch Fusiliers.1

     From 20 December 1886, her married name became Irvine.1

Edward Archdale, son of Reverend Henry Montgomery Archdale and Sarah Elizabeth Blackwood-Price, on 22 January 1908, they did not have issue.1 She died on 25 April 1918.1
     Her married name became Clarke.1 From 22 January 1908, her married name became Archdale.1
