     Major-Gen. Latham William Blacker was born on 18 June 1829.1 He was the son of Latham Blacker and Catherine Miller.1 He married Harriette de Maine Smith, daughter of John J. Smith, on 10 December 1851.1 He died in 1916.1
     Major-Gen. Latham William Blacker fought in the Zulu War in 1854.1 He was a Deputy Controller-General of the Army.1
