     Lady Rachel Adela Scott was the daughter of John Scott, 2nd Earl of Eldon and Hon. Louisa Duncombe.1 She died on 11 December 1869.1

     Lady Joane Butler was the daughter of Walter Butler, 11th Earl of Ormonde.2 She married, thirdly, Sir Thomas Esmonde, 1st Bt., son of Laurence Esmond, 1st and last Lord Esmond, Baron of Lymbrick and unknown O'Flaherty.1 She married, secondly, Theobald Purcell.1 She married, firstly, George Bagenal, son of Dudley Bagenal and Mabel Fitzgerald.2
      Her married name became Purcell.1 Her married name became Esmonde. Her married name became Bagenal.2

Colonel Walter Bagenal1

     Colonel Walter Bagenal was born on 27 January 1614.1 He was the son of George Bagenal and Lady Joane Butler.1 He married Elizabeth Roper, daughter of Christopher Roper, 2nd Baron Teynham.1 He died in October 1652 at age 38 at Kilkenny, County Kilkenny, Ireland, executed by Commonwealth troops.1
     He held the office of Governor of County Carlow in March 1641.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Leinster Army of Confederate Catholics.1 He was a prominent leader of the Confederation of Catholics.1 He fought in the English Civil War.1 He lived at Dunleckney, Bagenalstown, County Carlow, Ireland.1
