     James Barton was the son of William Barton and Elizabeth Dickson.1 He married Margaret Murray, daughter of Andrew Murray, in 1739, they were cousins.1

     Margaret Murray was the daughter of Andrew Murray.1 She married James Barton, son of William Barton and Elizabeth Dickson, in 1739, they were cousins.1 She died in 1769.1
     From 1739, her married name became Barton.1
