     Evelyn Claire Baring was born on 22 March 1891.¹ She was the daughter of Hon. Frederick Arthur Baring and Laura Louisa Hobson.¹

     Maj.-Gen. Hon. Sir Frederick Cavendish Ponsonby was born on 6 July 1783.¹ He was the son of Frederick Ponsonby, 3rd Earl of Bessborough and Lady Henrietta Frances Spencer.¹ He married Lady Emily Charlotte Bathurst, daughter of Henry Bathurst, 3rd Earl Bathurst of Bathurst and Lady Georgina Lennox, on 16 March 1825.¹ He died on 11 January 1837 at age 53.¹
     Maj.-Gen. Hon.      Lady Emily Charlotte Bathurst was the daughter of Henry Bathurst, 3rd Earl Bathurst of Bathurst and Lady Georgina Lennox.¹ She married Maj.-Gen. Hon. Sir Frederick Cavendish Ponsonby, son of Frederick Ponsonby, 3rd Earl of Bessborough and Lady Henrietta Frances Spencer, on 16 March 1825.¹ She died on 1 February 1877.¹
     Her married name became Ponsonby.

     Henry Bathurst, 3rd Earl Bathurst of Bathurst was born on 22 May 1762.¹ He was the son of Henry Bathurst, 2nd Earl Bathurst of Bathurst and Tryphena Scawen.¹ He was baptised on 6 June 1762.¹ He married Lady Georgina Lennox, daughter of Lt.-Gen. Lord George Henry Lennox and Lady Louisa Kerr, on 1 April 1789.³ He died on 27 July 1834 at age 72 at Arlington Street, St. George Hanover Square, London, England.³ He was buried at Kensal Green Cemetery, London, England.³ He was buried at Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England.³

      Sir Egerton Brydges wrote "he seems too much to have indulged in a life of indolence, for his friends speak of him as aman of superior talents, of which, however, he has not given the world much opportunity to form a judgment. He is said to be sagacious and sarcastic; full of acute sense and cutting humour."³
     Lord Greville recorded that "he was a very amiable man and with a good understanding, though his talents were from brilliant. A High Churchman and a High Tory, bu t a cool politician, a bad speaker, a good writer, greatly averse to changes but unwillingly acquiescing in many. He was nervous and reserved, with a good deal of humour, and habitually a jester."³ According to Gibbs, "Lady Louisa Stuart says that he was the last man to wear a pigtail, and that in 1828 he cut it off, and sent it round in an official box to his ministerial collegues."³

     General Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Frederick Ponsonby was born on 10 December 1825.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Hon. Sir Frederick Cavendish Ponsonby and Lady Emily Charlotte Bathurst.¹ He married Hon. Mary Elizabeth Bulteel, daughter of John Crocker Bulteel and Lady Elizabeth Grey, on 30 April 1861.¹ He died on 21 November 1895 at age 69.¹
     General Rt. Hon.      Hon. Mary Elizabeth Bulteel was the daughter of John Crocker Bulteel and Lady Elizabeth Grey.¹ She married General Rt. Hon. Sir Henry Frederick Ponsonby, son of Maj.-Gen. Hon. Sir Frederick Cavendish Ponsonby and Lady Emily Charlotte Bathurst, on 30 April 1861.¹ She died on 16 October 1916.¹
     Hon. Mary Elizabeth Bulteel held the office of Maid of Honour to HM Queen Victoria.¹ Her married name became Ponsonby. She was invested as a Lady, Royal Order of Victoria and Albert (V.A.).¹ She held the office of Extra Woman of the Bedchamber to HM Queen Victoria between 1896 and 1901.¹

     Hon. Alexander Henry Baring was born on 4 September 1869.¹ He was the son of Alexander Hugh Baring, 4th Baron Ashburton and Hon. Leonora Caroline Digby.¹ He died on 21 January 1948 at age 78, unmarried.¹
