     Alice Mary Pickard-Cambridge was born on 16 October 1855 at Warmwell, Dorset, England.2 She was the daughter of Reverend Edward Pickard-Cambridge and Harriet Caroline Foot.1,2 She married John Henry Becher, son of Reverend John Drake Becher and Elizabeth Susanna Machin, on 17 April 1879.1,2 She died on 8 January 1945 at age 89.2
     From 17 April 1879, her married name became Becher.1

     S/Ldr John Henry Becher was born on 6 September 1912 at Southwell, Nottinghamshire, England.1,2 He was the son of Major John Pickard Becher and Gertrude Veronica Gale.1 He died on 10 August 1940 at age 27, killed in action.1 He was buried at Maala Cemetery, Yemen.2
     S/Ldr John Henry Becher was educated between September 1926 and July 1931 at Marlborough College, Marlborough, Wiltshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Pilot Officer in 1932 in the service of the Special Reserve, Royal Air Force.2 He was educated at Brasenose College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1,2 He fought in the Second World War.1 He gained the rank of Squadron Leader in April 1939 in the service of the Royal Air Force, Intelligence.2
