     Major Robert Blakeney was the son of John Henry Blakeney and Charlotte Mahon.1 He married Hon. Mary Sophia Flower, daughter of Henry Flower, 5th Viscount Ashbrook and Frances Robinson, on 2 October 1860.1 He died on 20 June 1902.1
     Major Robert Blakeney served (an unknown value) at Crimea, Ukraine.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 48th Regiment of Foot.1 He held the office of Assistant Military Secretary between 1849 and 1855.1 Between 1849 and 1855 Major Robert Blakeney held the office of Aide-de-Camp to Sir Edward Blakeney.1 He fought in the Siege of Sebastopol.1 He held the office of Queen's Messenger in 1862.1
