     Reginald Basil Astley was born on 8 January 1862.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Francis L'Estrange Astley and Rosalind Alicia Frankland.1,2 He married, firstly, Caroline Douglas Stewart, daughter of Captain James Affleck Stewart, on 27 January 1913.3 He married, secondly, Kathleen Mary Vigors, daughter of Thomas Mercer Cliffe Vigors, on 8 October 1931.1 He died on 6 October 1942 at age 80.1

John Craven Westenra was born on 31 March 1798.1 He was the son of Warner William Westenra, 1st/2nd Baron Rossmere of Monaghan and Mary Ann Walsh.1 He married, firstly, Eleanor Mary Jolliffe, daughter of William Jolliffe, on 31 March 1834.2 He married, secondly, Anne Daubuz, daughter of Louis Charles Daubuz, on 23 July 1842.1 He died on 5 December 1874 at age 76.1
     Lt.-Col. Hon. John Craven Westenra gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Scots Fusiliers Guards.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of King's County in 1863.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for King's County in 1863.1 He lived at Sharavogue, County Offaly, Ireland.1

     Sir Jacob Astley, 16th Lord Hastings matriculated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 18 February 1817.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Astley, of Hill Morton, co. Warwick [E., 1660] on 28 April 1817.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Civil Law (D.C.L.) by Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 14 June 1817.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Norfolk from 1821 to 1822.2 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for West Norfolk between 1832 and 1837.1 He succeeded to the title of 16th Lord Hastings [E., 1295] on 18 May 1841, after the termination of its abeyance by writ.2

     Sir Jacob Henry Delaval Astley, 17th Lord Hastings was educated at Christ Church College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He gained the rank of officer in 1848 in the service of the 2nd Life Guards.1 He succeeded to the title of 17th Lord Hastings [E., 1295] on 27 December 1859.1 He succeeded to the title of 7th Baronet Astley, of Hill Morton, co.
