Reginald Basil Astley was born on 8 January 1862.2 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Francis L'Estrange Astley and Rosalind Alicia Frankland.1,2 He married, firstly, Caroline Douglas Stewart, daughter of Captain James Affleck Stewart, on 27 January 1913.3 He married, secondly, Kathleen Mary Vigors, daughter of Thomas Mercer Cliffe Vigors, on 8 October 1931.1 He died on 6 October 1942 at age 80.1

John Craven Westenra was born on 31 March 1798.1 He was the son of Warner William Westenra, 1st/2nd Baron Rossmere of Monaghan and Mary Ann Walsh.1 He married, firstly, Eleanor Mary Jolliffe, daughter of William Jolliffe, on 31 March 1834.2 He married, secondly, Anne Daubuz, daughter of Louis Charles Daubuz, on 23 July 1842.1 He died on 5 December 1874 at age 76.1

Sir Jacob Astley, 16th Lord Hastings was born on 13 November 1797 at Burgh Hall, Norfolk, England.1 He was baptised on 13 November 1797 at Melton Constable, Norfolk, England.1 He was the son of Sir Jacob Henry Astley, 5th Bt. and Hester Browne.1 He married Georgiana Caroline Dashwood, daughter of Sir Henry Watkin Dashwood, 3rd Bt. and Mary Helen Graham, on 22 March 1819 at St. George's Church, St. George Street, Hanover Square, London, England.1 He died on 27 December 1859 at age 62.2
Sir Jacob Astley, 16th Lord Hastings matriculated at Magdalen College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, on 18 February 1817.1 He succeeded to the title of 6th Baronet Astley, of Hill Morton, co.
