     Robert George Duff was born in October 1817.1 He was the son of Garden Duff, 8th of Hatton and Louisa Dunbar.1 He married Mary Astley, daughter of William Buckler Astley and Elizabeth Assheton-Smith, on 12 May 1847. He died in March 1890 at age 72.1
     He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) of Caernarvonshire.2 He lived at Ryde, Isle of Wight, England.

     Mary Astley was born on 23 January 1822.1 She was the daughter of William Buckler Astley and Elizabeth Assheton-Smith.2 She married Robert George Duff, son of Garden Duff, 8th of Hatton and Louisa Dunbar, on 12 May 1847. She died on 4 October 1874 at age 52.
      Her married name became Duff.

     William Buckler Astley was the son of Francis Dugdale Astley.1 He married Elizabeth Assheton-Smith, daughter of Thomas Assheton-Smith, on 24 March 1818.2,1 He died on 13 September 1859.1
     He lived at Everleigh, Wiltshire, England.2 He lived at Purton House, Wiltshire, England.

     George Robert Hay-Drummond, Viscount Dupplin was born on 27 May 1849.1 He was the son of George Hay-Drummond, 12th Earl of Kinnoull and Lady Emily Blanche Charlotte Somerset.1 He married Lady Agnes Cecil Emmeline Duff, daughter of James Duff, 5th Earl Fife and Lady Agnes Georgiana Elizabeth Hay, on 4 October 1871.2 He and Lady Agnes Cecil Emmeline Duff were divorced in 1876.2 He died on 10 March 1886 at age 36.1
     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the 1st Life Guards.1 He was styled as Viscount Dupplin between 1866 and 1886.1

     He gained the title of 5th Marquess Townshend.

Henry Amelius Coventry and Caroline Stirling Dundas.1 He married, firstly, Lady Alexina Duff, daughter of James Duff, 5th Earl Fife and Lady Agnes Georgiana Elizabeth Hay, on 2 July 1870.1 He married, secondly, Mary Miles, daughter of Colonel Charles William Miles and Maria Susannah Hill, on 15 August 1892.1 He died on 13 May 1909 at age 63.1
     He gained the rank of officer in the service of the Royal Horse Guards.1

      From 3 June 1867, her married name became Hope.1 From 20 September 1880, her married name became Wilson.1
