     Hon. Sir Gordon William Nottage Palmer was born on 18 July 1918.1 He was the son of Ernest Cecil Nottage Palmer, 2nd Baron Palmer and Marguerite Osborne.1 He married Lorna Eveline Hope Bailie on 6 May 1950.1 He died on 3 July 1989 at age 70.1
     Hon. Sir Gordon William Nottage Palmer was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1944.1 He was decorated with the Territorial Decoration (T.D.).1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Berkshire in 1956.1 He was invested as a Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1957.1 He held the office of Deputy Lieutenant (D.L.) for Berkshire in 1960.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1988.1
