     Rt. Hon. Thomas Dowdeswell was born in 1696.1 He was the son of Salwey Winnington and Anne Foley.3 He married Love Reade, daughter of Sir James Reade, 2nd Bt. and Love Dring, on 6 August 1719.1 He died on 23 April 1746, without surviving issue.1
     He held the office of Paymaster-General.1 He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Worcester.1
