     William Ramsay was the son of George Ramsay and Hon. Jean Hamilton.1 He married Hon. Mary Sandilands, daughter of James Sandilands, 10th Lord Torphichen, on 4 August 1828.1 He died in 1850.2
     William Ramsay held the office of Member of Parliament.1
