     Helen Gibson-Wright was the daughter of Alexander Gibson-Wright of Cliftonhall and Kersie and Margaret Gibson.2 She married Sir Alexander Charles Maitland, 2nd Bt., son of Hon. Sir Alexander Maitland, 1st Bt. and Penelope Madan, on 30 April 1785.1
      From 30 April 1786, her married name became Maitland.

     Alexander Gibson-Wright of Cliftonhall and Kersie was the son of Thomas Gibson and unknown Wright.2 He married Margaret Gibson, daughter of John Gibson and Helen Carmichael, on 29 January 1768.1 He died on 8 November 1819.1
     He lived at Cliftonhall, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1
