     Sir Steuart Robert Pringle of Stichill, 10th Bt. was born on 21 July 1928.¹ He is the son of Sir Norman Hamilton Pringle of Stichill, 9th Bt. and Winifred Olive Curran.² He married Jacqueline Marie Gladwell, daughter of Wilfrid Hubert Gladwell, on 5 September 1953.¹
     He was educated at Sherborne School, Sherborne, Dorset, England.¹ He was commissioned in 1946 with the rank of 2nd Lieutenant, in the service of the Royal Marines.¹ He was Adjutant of the Commando School between 1952 and 1954.³ He was Chief Instructor of the Signal Training Wingi between 1959 and 1961.³ He was Brigade Signal Officer of the 3 Commando Brigade between 1961 and 1963.³ He succeeded to the title of 10th Baronet Pringle, of Stichill [N.S., 1683] on 8 February 1961.⁴ He was Commanding Officer of the 45 Commando Group between 1971 and 1974.³ He was Commanding Officer of the HQ Commando Forces between 1974 and 1976.³ He gained the rank of Major-General in 1978 in the service of the Commando Forces.³ He was Chief of Staff to Commandant-General between 1979 and 1981.³ He was Commandant-General between 1981 and 1984.³ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Science (D.Sc.) by City University, London, England, in 1982.¹ He wrote the book Peace and the Bomb, published 1982, contributor.¹ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1982.¹ He wrote the book The Future of British Sea Power, published 1984.³ He was Colonel Commandant between 1989 and 1990.³ He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by Exeter University, Exeter, Devon, England, in 1994.¹ He lived in 2003 at 76 South Croxted Road, Dulwich, London, England.¹

     Wilfrid Hubert Gladwell lived at La Rocque, Jersey, Channel Islands.¹

     Jacqueline Marie Gladwell is the daughter of Wilfrid Hubert Gladwell.² She married Sir Steuart Robert Pringle of Stichill, 10th Bt., son of Sir Norman Hamilton Pringle of Stichill, 9th Bt. and Winifred Olive Curran, on 5 September 1953.¹
      From 5 September 1953, her married name became Pringle.¹

     Simon Robert Pringle of Stichill, younger was born on 6 January 1959.¹ He is the son of Sir Steuart Robert Pringle of Stichill, 10th Bt. and Jacqueline Marie Gladwell.² He married Pamela Margaret Hunter, daughter of George Hunter, in 1992.¹
     He was educated at Worth Abbey School, England.³ He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).¹ He lived in 2003 at 5 Hyde Vale, London, England.¹

     George Hunter lived at Belfast, County Antrim, Ireland.¹

     Pamela Margaret Hunter is the daughter of George Hunter.² She married Simon Robert Pringle of Stichill, younger, son of Sir Steuart Robert Pringle of Stichill, 10th Bt. and Jacqueline Marie Gladwell, in 1992.¹

     Ruairí George Robert Pringle was born on 21 October 2002.¹ He is the son of Simon Robert Pringle of Stichill, younger and Pamela Margaret Hunter.²
