     Sir Norman Hamilton Pringle of Stichill, 9th Bt. was born on 13 May 1903.1 He was the son of Sir Norman Robert Pringle of Stichill, 8th Bt. and Florence Madge Vaughan.2 He married Winifred Olive Curran, daughter of Joseph Curran, on 15 September 1927.1 He died on 8 February 1961 at age 57.1
     He was educated at Stoneyhurst College, Blackburn, Lancashire, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Pringle, of Stichill [N.S., 1683] on 8 April 1919.1 He gained the rank of Flying Officer in the service of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve.1 He fought in the Second World War.1
