     Walter Hargreaves Brown was born on 6 September 1881.1 He was the son of Sir Alexander Hargreaves Brown, 1st Bt. and Henrietta Agnes Terrell Blandy.2 He married Alberta Laura Mainwaring, daughter of Captain Guy Mainwaring, on 22 July 1913.1 He died on 2 June 1936 at age 54.1
     Walter Hargreaves Brown graduated from Trinity College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1

     Alberta Laura Mainwaring was the daughter of Captain Guy Mainwaring.1 She married, firstly, Walter Hargreaves Brown, son of Sir Alexander Hargreaves Brown, 1st Bt. and Henrietta Agnes Terrell Blandy, on 22 July 1913.1 She married, secondly, Major Alexander Innes, son of William Disney Innes, on 9 November 1937.1 She died on 24 September 1975.1
     From 22 July 1913, her married name became Brown. She was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.).1 From 9 November 1937, her married name became Innes.1
