Robert Camperdown Haldane was born on 20 July 1848.1 He was the son of Robert Haldane and Jane Makgill.2 He married Emily Anderson, daughter of James Anderson, in 1876.1 He died on 10 May 1914 at age 65.1
Robert Camperdown Haldane was educated at Loretto School, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.).1 He was recognised by the Lord Lyon King of Arms, and matriculated his arms at the Lyons Office on 8 April 1907.1 He lived at Northroe and Lochend, Shetland Islands, Scotland.1

Maldwyn Makgill Haldane was born on 11 January 1877.1 He was the son of Robert Camperdown Haldane and Emily Anderson.2 He married, firstly, Mabel Constance Seymour, daughter of Robert George Seymour, on 8 November 1902.1 He married, secondly, Katherine Baylay, daughter of Reverend Atwell Mervyn Yates Baylay, in October 1934.1 He died on 29 June 1940 at age 63.1
