     Elizabeth Sanderson Haldane was the manager at Edinburgh Infirmary, Edinburgh, Midlothian, Scotland.1 He was vice-chairman of the Territorial Forces Nursing Services.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Perthshire, the first woman Justice of the Peace in Scotland.1 He fought in the First World War, where she was mentioned in despatches.1 He was decorated with the award of Companion of Honour (C.H.) in 1918.1 He was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Law (LL.D.) by St. Andrews University, St. Andrews, Fife, Scotland.1 He lived at Cloan, Auchterader, Perthshire, Scotland.1
