     Brig.-Gen. George Haldane was baptised on 10 July 1722.1 He was the son of Patrick Haldane, 16th of Gleneagles and Hon. Margaret Forrester.2 He died on 26 July 1759 at age 37, unmarried.1
     He fought in the Battle of Fontenoy in 1743, where he was wounded.1 He fought in the Battle of Dettingen in 1743.1 He fought in the 1745 Uprising in 1745, against the Jacobites.1 He gained the rank of Brigadier-General in the 3rd Guards.1 He fought in the Battle of Roucoux in 1747.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Stirling Burghs between 1747 and 1758.1 He fought in the Battle of Lauffeld on 2 July 1747.1 He held the office of Captain-General of Jamaica in 1759.1 He fought in the Capture of Guadeloupe in 1759.1

     Margaret Haldane was the daughter of Patrick Haldane, 16th of Gleneagles and Hon. Margaret Forrester.2 She married Hon. Charles Barclay-Maitland of Tillicoultrie, son of Charles Maitland, 6th Earl of Lauderdale and Lady Elizabeth Ogilvy, on 14 April 1765.1 She died in 1768, without issue.1
     From 14 April 1765, her married name became Barclay-Maitland.1

     Eustace John William Spread was born at Florence, ItalyG.1 He was the son of Henry George Fenton Spread and Louisa Amelia Castles.1 He married Norah Hotblack, daughter of Herbert Arthur Hotblack, in 1916.1 He died in 1968.1
     He was awarded the Military Cross (M.C.)1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.)1

     From 1916, her married name became Spread.1

     Sir William Oglander, 3rd Bt. was born in 1680.2 He was the son of Sir John Oglander, 2nd Bt. and Mary Webb.2,3 He married Elizabeth Strode, daughter of Sir John Strode and Anne Hewet.2 He died in 1734.2
     He gained the title of 3rd Baronet Oglander, of Nunwell.

     Elizabeth Oglander was the daughter of Sir William Oglander, 3rd Bt. and Elizabeth Strode.2,3 She married, firstly, Captain Robert Holmes before 1742.1 She married, secondly, Robert Haldane, 1st of Airthrey and 17th of Gleneagles, son of John Haldane, 14th of Gleneagles and Helen Erskine, on 29 September 1742.1 She died on 11 May 1779.1
     From before 1742, her married name became Holmes.1 From 29 September 1742, her married name became Haldane.1
