     William Augustus Neave was born on 5 February 1802 at Noak Hill, Essex, EnglandG.1,2 He was the son of Sir Thomas Neave, 2nd Bt. and Frances Caroline Digby.3 He married Anne Elizabeth Black, daughter of Alexander Black and Alice Waynman, on 18 August 1838.1 He died on 3 October 1844 at age 42, at sea.1
     He was educated at Haileybury College, Haileybury, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.2 He was with the Madras Civil Service.1

Lt.-Col. Charles Alexander Neave1

     Lt.-Col. Charles Alexander Neave was born on 29 July 1869.1 He was the son of Reverend William Alexander Neave and Frances Mary Saunders.2 He married Klara Elizabeth Schur, daughter of Richard Schur, in 1891.1 He died on 9 June 1942 at age 72.1
     He fought in the Boer War between 1899 and 1902.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Royal Artillery.1 He fought in the Nandi Expedition between 1905 and 1906.1 He was Lieutenant-Colonel 3rd Battalion Somerset LI, Tport Officer Nairobi , Assist Dir Tport 1916, Lieutenant Royal Artillery Boer War 1899–1902, Nandi Expdn 1905–06 and WW I in 1914.1 He was Transport Officer in 1914 at Nairobi, KenyaG.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the 3rd Battalion, Somerset Light Infantry.1 He fought in the First World War.1 He was Assistant Director of Transport in 1916.1 He was appointed Officer, Order of the British Empire (O.B.E.) in 1919.1
