     Violet Gwendolen Grimston was the daughter of Canon Hon. Robert Grimston and Gertrude Mary Amelia Villiers.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Arthur William Acland, son of Alfred Dyke Acland and Hon. Beatrice Danvers Smith, on 16 December 1926.¹ She died in 1984.¹
