     Rev. Hon. Robert Grimston was born on 18 April 1860.2 He was the son of James Walter Grimston, 2nd Earl of Verulam and Elizabeth Joanna Weyland.2,3 He married Gertrude Mary Amelia Villiers, daughter of Reverend Charles Villiers and Florence Mary Tyssen-Amherst, on 20 August 1896.3 He died on 8 July 1928 at age 68.2
     He graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.)3 He held the office of Canon of St. Albans.2 He lived at Darrowfield House, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, EnglandG.2

     James Walter Grimston, 2nd Earl of Verulam was born on 22 February 1809.1 He was the son of James Walter Grimston, 1st Earl of Verulam and Lady Charlotte Jenkinson.1 He married Elizabeth Joanna Weyland, daughter of Major Richard Weyland, on 12 September 1844.1 He died on 27 July 1895 at age 86.1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He was educated at Christ Church, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for St. Albans between 1830 and 1831.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) (Tory) for Newport Cornwall between 1831 and 1832.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) Elizabeth Joanna Weyland

     Elizabeth Joanna Weyland was the daughter of Major Richard Weyland.1 She married James Walter Grimston, 2nd Earl of Verulam, son of James Walter Grimston, 1st Earl of Verulam and Lady Charlotte Jenkinson, on 12 September 1844.1 She died on 5 July 1886.1
     Her married name became Grimston. After her marriage, Elizabeth Joanna Weyland was styled as Countess of Verulam on 17 November 1845.

     James Walter Grimston, 3rd Earl of Verulam was born on 11 May 1852.1 He was the son of James Walter Grimston, 2nd Earl of Verulam and Elizabeth Joanna Weyland.1 He married Margaret Frances Graham, daughter of Sir Frederick Ulric Graham, 3rd Bt. and Lady Jane Hermione St. Maur, on 30 April 1878.2 He died on 11 November 1924 at age 72.1
     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow, London, England.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant between 1870 and 1878 in the 1st Life Guards.1 He gained the rank of Honorary Major in the Hertfordshire Yeomanry Cavalry.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.)      Margaret Frances Graham was the daughter of Sir Frederick Ulric Graham, 3rd Bt. and Lady Jane Hermione St. Maur.1 She married, firstly, Alexander Aeneas Mackintosh, 27th of Mackintosh, son of Alexander Mackintosh, 26th of Mackintosh and Charlotte MacLeod, in 1875.2 She married, secondly, James Walter Grimston, 3rd Earl of Verulam, son of James Walter Grimston, 2nd Earl of Verulam and Elizabeth Joanna Weyland, on 30 April 1878.1 She died on 4 October 1927.1
     From 1875, her married name became Mackintosh. From 30 April 1878, her married name became Grimston. After her marriage, Margaret Frances Graham was styled as Countess of Verulam on 27 July 1895.

     Lady Harriot Elizabeth Grimston was born circa 1845. She was the daughter of James Walter Grimston, 2nd Earl of Verulam and Elizabeth Joanna Weyland.1 She married Maj.-Gen. Francis Harwood Poore on 24 March 1885.1 She died on 15 August 1888.1
     Her married name became Poore. She was Lady-in-Waiting to HI and RH The Duchess of Edinburgh.1
