     Lady Elizabeth Leslie was the daughter of Andrew Leslie, 5th Earl of Rothes and Grizel Hamilton.2 She married, firstly, David Wemyss, son of Sir John Wemyss of Wemyss and Mary Stewart, circa 1608.1 She married, secondly, James Ogilvy, 1st Earl of Findlater, son of Walter Ogilvy, 1st Lord Ogilvy of Deskford and Lady Mary Douglas, on 17 February 1610.1
     Her married name became Wemyss. Her married name became Ogilvy.

Andrew Leslie, 5th Earl of Rothes

     Andrew Leslie, 5th Earl of Rothes was the son of George Leslie, 4th Earl of Rothes and Agnes Somerville.1 He married, firstly, Grizel Hamilton, daughter of Sir James Hamilton of Finnart and Margaret Livingston of Easter Wemyss, in December 1547.1 He married, secondly, Jean Ruthven, daughter of Patrick Ruthven, 3rd Lord Ruthven and Janet Douglas, after 3 October 1573.2 He married, thirdly, Janet Durie, daughter of David Durie of that Ilk and Catherine Douglas, circa 1592.3 He died in 1611.1
     He succeeded as the 5th Lord Leslie [S., 1445] on 28 November 1558.1 He succeeded as the 5th Earl of Rothes [S., 1458] on 28 November 1558.1 On 15 January 1564/65 he was declared Earl by a decreet arbitral of the Crown, which obliged the first son William to give up the title.1

James Ogilvy, 1st Earl of Findlater

     James Ogilvy, 1st Earl of Findlater was the son of Walter Ogilvy, 1st Lord Ogilvy of Deskford and Lady Mary Douglas.1 He married, secondly, Lady Marion Cuninghame, daughter of William Cuninghame, 8th Earl of Glencairn and Lady Janet Kerr.2 He married, firstly, Lady Elizabeth Leslie, daughter of Andrew Leslie, 5th Earl of Rothes and Grizel Hamilton, on 17 February 1610.3 He died in 1652, without male issue.3
     He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Ogilvy of Deskford [S., 1615] on 14 February 1627.3 He was created 1st Earl of Findlater [Scotland] on 20 February 1638, with remainder to heirs male of his body succeeding to his estates.3 On 18 October 1641 He got a regrant of his titles with special remainder to his eldest daughter's husband, Sir Patrick Ogilvy, provided Sir Patrick styled himseld Lord Deskford and Inchmartine.3
