     Field Marshal Archibald Percival Wavell, 1st Earl Wavell was born on 5 May 1883.¹ He was the son of Maj.-Gen. Archibald Graham Wavell and Lillie Percival.^2,3 He married Eugenie Marie Quirk, daughter of Colonel J. O. Quirk, on 22 April 1915.³ He died on 24 May 1950 at age 67.¹
     He fought in the Boer War between 1901 and 1902.³ He was commissioned on 8 May 1901, in the service of the Black Watch.³ He fought in the First World War between 1914 and 1918, where he was mentioned in despatches and was wounded.³ He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.).⁴ He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.⁴ He was Commander of the 6th Infantry Brigade, Aldershot between 1930 and 1934.³ He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1935.³ He was Commander of the 2nd Division, Aldershot between 1935 and 1937.³ He fought in the Palestine Campaign between 1937 and 1938.³ He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1939.³ He was Commander-in-Chief of the Middle East between 1939 and 1941.³ He fought in the Second World War between 1939 and 1943.³ He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1941.⁴ He was Commander-in-Chief of the India between 1941 and 1943.³ He was Supreme Commander of the South-West Pacific Area in 1942.³ He held the office of Viceroy and Governor-General of India between 1943 and 1947.³ He was created 1st Viscount Wavell, of Cyrenaica, and of Winchester, co. Southamtpon [U.K.] on 22 July 1943.³ He was invested as a Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Indian Empire (G.C.I.E.).⁴ He was invested as a Knight Grand Commander, Order of the Star of India (G.C.S.I.).⁴ He was invested as a Privy Counsellor (P.C.).⁴ He was created 1st Viscount Keren, of Eritrea and of Winchester, co. Southampton [U.K.] on 1 May 1947.³ He was created 1st Earl Wavell [U.K.] on 1 May 1947.³ He held the office of Constable of the Tower of London between 1948 and 1950.³

     Harry Alastair Gordon was the son of Commander Alastair Gordon.¹ He married Lady Joan Patricia Quirk Wavell, daughter of Field Marshal Archibald Percival Wavell, 1st Earl Wavell and Eugenie Marie Quirk, on 19 June 1948.¹ He died on 19 June 1965.¹
     He was decorated with the award of the Military Cross (M.C.).¹

     Commander Alastair Gordon was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.).¹ He gained the rank of Commander in the service of the Royal Navy.¹

     Major Donald Struan Robertson was the son of Rt. Hon. Sir Malcolm Arnold Robertson.¹ He married, firstly, Hersey Caroline Ann Williamson, daughter of Captain Hon. Gerald Hayne Guthrie Williamson and Christian Alice Hersey Forbes, on 5 May 1945.² He and Hersey Caroline Ann Williamson were divorced in 1973.² He married, secondly, Lady Joan Patricia Quirk Wavell, daughter of Field Marshal Archibald Percival Wavell, 1st Earl Wavell and Eugenie Marie Quirk, after 1973.¹ He died in 1991.¹
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Scots Guards.¹

     Rt. Hon. Sir Malcolm Arnold Robertson was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.).¹ He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Order of St. Michael and St. George (G.C.M.G.).¹

     Diana Jane Astley was born on 17 December 1943.¹ She is the daughter of Major Hon. Simon Nevill Astley and Lady Joan Patricia Quirk Wavell.¹ She married Robert I. W. Kellie in 1975.¹
      From 1975, her married name became Kellie.¹ She lived in 2003 at The King's, Oxlynch, Stonehouse, Gloucestershire, England.¹

     Robert I. W. Kellie married Diana Jane Astley, daughter of Major Hon. Simon Nevill Astley and Lady Joan Patricia Quirk Wavell, in 1975.¹

     Rupert Simon Chamier Kellie was born in 1977.¹ He is the son of Robert I. W. Kellie and Diana Jane Astley.¹

     Toby Alastair Struan Kellie was born in 1984.¹ He is the son of Robert I. W. Kellie and Diana Jane Astley.¹

     Tara Margaret Joan Kellie was born in 1980.¹ She is the daughter of Robert I. W. Kellie and Diana Jane Astley.¹
