     From 22 April 1915, her married name became Wavell.1 She was awarded the Imperial Order of the Crown of India (C.I.) in 1943.1 After her marriage, Eugenie Marie Quirk was styled as Viscountess Wavell on 22 July 1943.      She was with the British Red Cross and St. Johns Ambulance during the Second World War.1 She gained the rank of Commandant in 1942 at Cairo, EgyptG, in the Voluntary Aid Detachment, 5th Scottish Hospital.1 From 14 March 1942, her married name became Humphreys.1
