     Marie Ethel Crosbie was the daughter of S/Ldr. Ernest Christopher Crosbie.1 She married Hugh Gater Jenkins, Baron Jenkins of Putney, son of Joseph Walter Jenkins and Florence Emily Gater, in 1936.1 She died in 1989.1
     From 1936, her married name became Jenkins.1 After her marriage, Marie Ethel Crosbie was styled as Baroness Jenkins of Putney on 14 May 1981.

     John Savile, 1st Baron Savile of Rufford was born illegitimately on 6 January 1818.1 He was the son of John Lumley-Savile, 8th Earl of Scarbrough and Agnes (?)1 He died on 28 November 1896 at age 78, unmarried.1
     He was given the name of John Savile-Lumley at birth.1 He was with the Foreign Office between 1841 and 1888.1 He was Attaché to Berlin in 1842.1 He was Attaché to St. Petersburg in 1849.1 He was Secretary of the Legation to Washington in 1854.1 He was Secretary of the Embassy to Madrid between 1858 and 1859.1 He was Secretary of the Embassy to St. Petersburg between 1859 and 1860.1 He was Secretary of the Embassy to St. Petersburg between 1860 and 1866.1 He was Secretary of the Embassy to Constantinople between April 1860 and December 1860.1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Dresden between June 1866 and November 1866.1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Berne between 1867 and 1868.1 He held the office of Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary to Brussels between 1868 and 1883.1 He was appointed Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1873.1 He was appointed Knight Commander, Order of the Bath (K.C.B.) in 1878.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) in 1883.1 He held the office of Ambassador to Italy between 1883 and 1888.1 He was appointed Knight Grand Cross, Order of the Bath (G.C.B.) in 1885.1 On 28 May 1887 his name was legally changed to John Savile by Royal Licence on inheriting the Rufford estate from his youngest brother.1 He was created 1st Baron Savile of Rufford, co. Nottingham [U.K.] on 27 October 1888, with special remainder to to his nephew John.1

     Margaret (?) married Laurence Abernethy, 1st Lord Saltoun of Abernethy, son of Sir William Abernethy of Saltoun, younger and Margaret Borthwick, before 1448.1
     Her married name became Abernethy.

William Abernethy, 2nd Lord Saltoun of Abernethy

     William Abernethy, 2nd Lord Saltoun of Abernethy was the son of Laurence Abernethy, 1st Lord Saltoun of Abernethy and Margaret (?)1 He married, firstly, unknown wife (?)1 He married, secondly, Isabella Borthwick before 1464.1 He died in June 1488, perhaps at the Battle of Sauchieburn in which King James III was overthrown by rebels led by his own son and successor, without male issue.1
     He held the office of Sheriff of Banffshire in February 1458/59.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Lord Saltoun of Abernethy [S., 1445] before 13 March 1460/61.1 He was appointed Privy Counsellor (P.C.) [Scotland] before 20 March 1482/83.1
