     Henry Hastings, 1st and last Baron Loughborough of Loughborough was born on 28 September 1610.1 He was the son of Henry Hastings, 5th Earl of Huntingdon and Lady Elizabeth Stanley.1 He died on 10 January 1666/67 at age 56, unmarried.1
     Henry Hastings, 1st and last Baron Loughborough of Loughborough held the office of Lord-Lieutenant of Leicestershire in 1638.1 He fought in the Batte of Edgehill in 1642, where he led his own troop of horse.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of Leicestershire in 1642.1 He was created 1st Baron Loughborough of Loughborough, co. Leicester [England] on 23 October 1643.1 He was Colonel-General of Leicestershire.1 On his death, his barony became extinct.1
