     Hon. Edward Charles Crofton was born on 18 January 1896.1 He was the son of Arthur Edward Lowther Crofton, 4th Baron Crofton of Mote and Jessie Castle Hewitson.2 He married Cecilia Mabel Day, daughter of John T. Day, on 5 March 1925.1 He died on 25 November 1936 at age 40.1
