     John Northcote was the son of John Northcote and Elizabeth Dowrish.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Rouse, daughter of Sir Anthony Rouse and Elizabeth Southcote.1 He married, secondly, Susan Pollard, daughter of Sir Hugh Pollard.1 He died in December 1632.1

     Sir John Northcote, 1st Bt. was the son of John Northcote and Elizabeth Rouse.2 He married Grace Halswell, daughter of Hugh Halswell.1 He died circa June 1676.1 He was buried on 24 June 1676.1
     Sir John Northcote, 1st Bt. held the office of Sheriff of Devon in 1627.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Ashburton between 1640 and 1660.1 He was created 1st Baronet Northcote, of Hayne, co. Devon [England] on 16 July 1641.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devon in 1654.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devon in 1656.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Devon in 1660.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Barnstaple between 1667 and 1676.1 He lived at Hayne, Newton St. Cyres, Devon, England.1 He also had three daughters.1

     Sir Arthur Northcote, 2nd Bt. was baptised on 25 March 1628.1 He was the son of Sir John Northcote, 1st Bt. and Grace Halswell.2 He married, firstly, Elizabeth Welsh, daughter of James Welsh.1 He married, secondly, Elizabeth Godolphin, daughter of Sir Francis Godolphin, in 1650.1 He died in 1688.1
     Sir Arthur Northcote, 2nd Bt. succeeded to the title of 2nd Baronet Northcote, of Hayne, co. Devon [E., 1641] circa June 1676.1 He had two sons (died without issue) and a daughter (died unmarried) by his first wife.1
