     Captain Newton James William-Powlett was born in 1896.1 He was the son of Major Barton Newton Wallop William-Powlett and Emily Charlotte Reibey.1 He married Barbara Patience Greenwell, daughter of Sir Bernard Eyre Greenwell, 2nd Bt. and Anna Elizabeth McClintock, on 24 April 1929 at Godstone, Surrey, England.2,3 He died in 1963.1
     Captain Newton James William-Powlett was decorated with the award of Distinguished Service Cross (D.S.C.).2 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Royal Navy.1
