     Barbara Patience Greenwell was born on 29 August 1906.1,2 She was the daughter of Sir Bernard Eyre Greenwell, 2nd Bt. and Anna Elizabeth McClintock.3 She married, firstly, Captain Newton James Wallop William-Powlett, son of Major Barton Newton Wallop William-Powlett and Emily Charlotte Reibey, on 24 April 1929 at Godstone, Surrey, EnglandG.1,2 She married, secondly, Vice-Admiral Sir Peveril Barton Reibey William-Powlett, son of Major Barton Newton Wallop William-Powlett and Emily Charlotte Reibey, on 22 January 1966.4 She died on 11 October 1997 at age 91.1
     From 24 April 1929, her married name became William-Powlett.4
