     Captain Hon. Sydney James Drever Joicey was born on 24 November 1884.1 He was the son of James Joicey, 1st Baron Joicey and Margaret Smyles Drever.2,1 He died on 20 March 1916 at age 31, killed in action.1
     Captain Hon. Sydney James Drever Joicey graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1 He fought in the First World War.1 He gained the rank of Captain and Adjutant in the service of the 10th (Service) Battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers.1
