     He was decorated with the award of the Knight of Honour and Devotion, Soveriegn Military Order of Malta.1 He lived in 2003 at Bowdown House, Greenham, Newbury, Berkshire, England.1

     He lived at Cloughjordan, County Tipperary, Ireland.1 He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for County Monaghan.1

     Sir Harry Lloyd-Verney was born on 23 January 1872.2 He was the son of George Hope Lloyd-Verney and Harriet Julia Morforwyn Hinde.2 He married Lady Joan Elizabeth Mary Cuffe, daughter of Hamilton John Agmondesham Cuffe, 5th Earl of Desart and Lady Margaret Joan Lascelles, on 6 June 1889.2 He died on 28 February 1950 at age 78.2
     He was given the name of Harry Verney at birth.2 He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 On 11 February 1888 his name was legally changed to Harry Lloyd-Verney.3 He held the office of Gentlemen Usher and Deputy Master of the Household to HM King Edward VII between 1907 and 1910.2 He was invested as a Member, Royal Victorian Order (M.V.O.) in 1909 4th Class.2 He was decorated with the award of the Order of the Crown of Prussia (2nd Class).2 He held the office of Groom-in-Waiting to HM King George V between 1911 and 1931.2 He was invested as a Commander, Royal Victorian Order (C.V.O.) in 1917.2 He was decorated with the award of the Officer, Legion of Honour.2 He was Private Secretary to HM Queen Mary between 1919 and 1935.2 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Royal Victorian Order (K.C.V.O.) in 1927.1 He held the office of Extra Groom-in-Waiting to HRH The Prince of Wales between 1931 and 1936.2 He was invested as a Knight Grand Cross, Royal Victorian Order (G.C.V.O.) in 1936.2 He held the office of Extra Groom-in-Waiting to HM King George VI between 1937 and 1950.2 He lived at The Clochfaen, Llanidloes, Wales.2

     George Hope Lloyd-Verney was born on 5 March 1842.1 He was the son of Sir Harry Verney, 2nd Bt. and Eliza Hope-Vere.2 He married Harriet Julia Morforwyn Hinde, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Charles Thomas Edward Hinde, on 23 October 1866.1 He died on 14 June 1896 at age 54.1
     He was given the name of George Hope Verney at birth.1 He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the Rifle Brigade.1 He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the 3rd Battalion, Hampshire Regiment.1 On 11 February 1888 his name was legally changed to George Hope Lloyd-Verney by Royal Licence.1 He lived at The Cedars, Esher, Surrey, England.1
