     George Hope Lloyd-Verney was born on 5 March 1842.¹ He was the son of Sir Harry Verney, 2nd Bt. and Eliza Hope-Vere.² He married Harriet Julia Morforwyn Hinde, daughter of Maj.-Gen. Charles Thomas Edward Hinde, on 23 October 1866.¹ He died on 14 June 1896 at age 54.¹
