Lt.-Col. Frederic William Wodehouse was born on 7 April 1867.1 He was the son of Colonel Charles Wodehouse and Jemima Forbes.2 He married, firstly, Mary Helen Lambert, daughter of George Nugent Lambert, on 5 April 1893.1 He married, secondly, Hilary Mary Pell, daughter of William Henry Pell, in 1940.1 He died on 16 January 1961 at age 93.1
Lt.-Col. Frederic William Wodehouse was educated at Westminster College, Westminster, London, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military College, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He gained the rank of Lushai Expedition between 1889 and 1890.1 He was Political Resident to Kolhapur State.1 He was Political Agent to the Southern (Mahratta) Country States between 1908 and 1922.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Indian Empire (C.I.E.) in 1912.1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel in the service of the Indian Army.1
