Benita Sabin was the daughter of Major Luther Sabin.2 She married Arthur Percy Somers Cocks, 7th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham, son of Arthur Herbert Cocks and Anna Marion Jessie Eckford, in 1896.1 She died on 29 May 1950.1

John Patrick Somers Cocks, 8th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham was born on 30 April 1907.1 He was the son of Arthur Percy Somers Cocks, 7th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham and Benita Sabin.2 He married, firstly, Barbara Marianne Southall, daughter of Charles Henry Southall, on 15 August 1935.1 He married, secondly, Dora Helen Mountfort, daughter of John Mountfort, on 28 July 1961.1 He died on 15 February 1995 at age 87 at John Radecliffe Hospital, Oxford, Oxfordshire, England.1,3
John Patrick Somers Cocks, 8th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham graduated from Royal College of Music, London, England, with a Bachelor of Music (B.Mus.).1 He was Director of Music in 1949 at Epsom College, Epsom, Surrey, England.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Lord Sommers, Baron of Evesham, co. Worcester [G.B., 1784] on 8 February 1953.1 He succeeded to the title of 8th Baronet Cocks, of Evesham, co. Worcester [G.B., 1772] on 8 February 1953.1 He was Professor of Theory and Composition between 1967 and 1977 at Royal College of Music, London, England.1
