Sir Gilbert Hoghton, 2nd Bt.1

     Sir Gilbert Hoghton, 2nd Bt. was the son of Sir Richard Hoghton, 1st Bt. and Catharine Gerard.2 He married Margaret Aston, daughter of Sir Roger Aston.1 He died in April 1647.1
     He accompanied the Prince of Wales (later King Charles I) to Spain to woo the Infanta.1 He was Carver in Ordinary to King Charles I.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lancashire.1 He was appointed Knight in 1604.2 He held the office of Steward of the Royal Forests.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baronet Hoghton, of Hoghton Tower, and Walton le Dale, co. Lancaster [E., 1611] on 12 November 1630.1 He was 2nd in charge to the Earl of Derby, commander of Royal forces in Lancashire during the Civil War.1

Margaret Aston1

     Margaret Aston was the daughter of Sir Roger Aston.2 She married Sir Gilbert Hoghton, 2nd Bt., son of Sir Richard Hoghton, 1st Bt. and Catharine Gerard.1 She died on 23 December 1657.1
     Her married name became Hoghton.

Sir Richard Hoghton, 3rd Bt.1

     Sir Richard Hoghton, 3rd Bt. was the son of Sir Gilbert Hoghton, 2nd Bt. and Margaret Aston.2 He married Lady Sarah Stanhope, daughter of Philip Stanhope, 1st Earl of Chesterfield and Catherine Hastings.1 He died on 3 February 1677/78, with other issue.1
     He succeeded as the 3rd Baronet Hoghton, of Hoghton Tower, and Walton le Dale, co. Lancaster [E., 1611] in April 1647.1 He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lancashire.2 He held the office of Extraordinary Gentleman of the Privy Chamber in 1661.1

     Hon. Caroline Diana Delacourt-Smith was born on 9 May 1944.1,2 She is the daughter of Charles George Percy Delacourt-Smith, Baron Delacourt-Smith and Margaret Rosalind Hando, Baroness Delacourt-Smith of Alteryn.1 She married Roger Martin Pudney, son of Arthur William Pudney, on 26 April 1969.1,2
     She was educated at Windsor Grammar School, Windsor, Berkshire, England.2 She was educated at University of Sussex, Brighton, Sussex, EnglandG.2 From 26 April 1969, her married name became Pudney.1

     He held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Lancashire.1 He succeeded as the 4th Baronet Hoghton, of Hoghton Tower, and Walton le Dale, co. Lancaster [E., 1611] on 3 February 1677/78.1

     From circa 8 March 1676, her married name became Hoghton.
