     Hon. Rachel Mary Bruce was born in 1848. She was the daughter of Sir Henry Austin Bruce, 1st Baron Aberdare of Duffryn and Annabella Beadon.1 She married Augustus George Vernon-Harcourt, son of Admiral Frederick Edward Vernon-Harcourt and Marcia Tollemache, on 10 September 1872.1 She died on 24 June 1927.1
     Her married name became Vernon-Harcourt.
