     Captain John Christie was born on 14 December 1882 at Eggesford, Devon, England.1 He was the son of Augustus Langham Christie and Lady Alicia Rosamond Wallop.1 He married Grace Audrey Louisa St. John-Mildmay, daughter of Reverend Sir Aubrey Neville St. John-Mildmay, 10th Bt. and Louisa Jane Maunder, on 4 June 1931. He died on 4 July 1962 at age 79.
     Captain John Christie lived at Glyndebourne, Sussex, England. He has an extensive biographical entry in the Dictionary of National Biography.1
