     Rev. Hon. Lewis William Denman was born on 23 March 1821.1 He was the son of Thomas Denman, 1st Baron Denman of Dovedale and Theodosia Anne Vevers.2 He married, firstly, Frances Marianne Eden, daughter of Thomas Eden and Frances Eliza Rodney, on 18 June 1850.1 He married, secondly, Frances Starkie Mary Armytage, daughter of Colonel Henry Armytage and Charlotte Le Gendre Starkie, on 22 August 1865.1 He died on 6 May 1907 at age 86.1
     Rev. Hon. Lewis William Denman graduated from Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, with a Master of Arts (M.A.).1
