     Major Thomas Burrowes was born in 1772.1 He was the son of Robert Burrowes and Sophia Story.2 He married Susan Seward, daughter of Reverend Henry Seward, in 1805.1 He died on 3 April 1836.1
     He was educated at Trinity College, Dublin University, Dublin, County Dublin, IrelandG.1 He held the office of High Sheriff of County Cavan in 1803.1 He lived at Stradone House, County Cavan, IrelandG.1
