     Mark George Christopher Jeffreys, 2nd Baron Jeffreys was born on 2 February 1932.1 He was the son of Captain Christopher John Darell Jeffreys and Lady Rosemary Beatrice Agar.1 He married, firstly, Sarah Annabelle Mary Garnett, daughter of Major Henry Claude Lyon Garnett and Mary Catherine Gerard Leigh, on 24 July 1956.1 He and Sarah Annabelle Mary Garnett were divorced in 1967. He married, secondly, Anne Worthington-Evans, daughter of Sir William Shirley Worthington-Evans, 2nd Bt., in 1967. He married, thirdly, Suzanne Stead, daughter of James Stead, on 18 November 1981.1 He died in 1986.
     He was educated at Eton College, Windsor, Berkshire, England.1 He was educated at Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, Berkshire, England.1 He succeeded as the 2nd Baron Jeffreys, of Burkham, co. Southampton [U.K., 1952] on 19 December 1960.2 He retired from the military in 1961, with the rank of Major, late of the Grenadier Guards.1

     He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Lincoln Regiment.1 He succeeded as the 14th Baron Petre, of Writtle, co. Essex [E., 1603] on 8 May 1893.1
