     John Wodehouse, 2nd Earl of Kimberley was born on 10 December 1848.¹ He was the son of John Wodehouse, 1st Earl of Kimberley and Lady Florence FitzGibbon.¹ He married Isabel Geraldine Stracey, daughter of Sir Henry Josias Stracey, 5th Bt. and Charlotte Denne, on 22 June 1875.¹ He died on 7 January 1932 at age 83.¹
     John Wodehouse, 2nd Earl of Kimberley succeeded to the title of 4th Baron Wodehouse of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [G.B., 1797] on 8 April 1902.¹ He succeeded to the title of 9th Baronet Wodehouse, of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [E., 1611] on 8 April 1902.¹ He succeeded to the title of 2nd Earl of Kimberley, of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [U.K., 1866] on 8 April 1902.¹ He held the office of Member of the Norfolk County Council.¹ He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.¹

     Isabel Geraldine Stracey was the daughter of Sir Henry Josias Stracey, 5th Bt. and Charlotte Denne.¹ She married John Wodehouse, 2nd Earl of Kimberley, son of John Wodehouse, 1st Earl of Kimberley and Lady Florence FitzGibbon, on 22 June 1875.¹ She died on 20 January 1927.¹
     Her married name became Wodehouse. As a result of her marriage, Isabel Geraldine Stracey was styled as Countess of Kimberley on 8 April 1902.

     Charlotte Denne was the daughter of George Denne. She married Sir Henry Josias Stracey, 5th Bt., son of Sir Josias Henry Stracey, 4th Bt. and Diana Scott, on 5 March 1835. She died on 12 April 1884.
     Her married name became Stracey.

     Diana Scott was the daughter of David Scott. She married Sir Josias Henry Stracey, 4th Bt. on 23 June 1800. She died on 13 June 1854.

     John Wodehouse, 3rd Earl of Kimberley was born on 11 November 1883.² He was the son of John Wodehouse, 2nd Earl of Kimberley and Isabel Geraldine Stracey.² He married Francis Margaret Irby, daughter of Lt.-Col. Leonard Howard Loyd Irby and Mary Brandling, on 5 May 1922.¹ He died on 16 April 1941 at age 57 at London, England, killed in an air raid.²
     John Wodehouse, 3rd Earl of Kimberley held the office of Member of Parliament (M.P.) for Mid-Norfolk between 1906 and 1910.² He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Norfolk Yeomanry.² He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches teice, and was wounded.² He gained the rank of Captain in the service of the 16th Lancers.² He was decorated with the award of Croce di Guerra.² He was decorated with the award of Military Cross (M.C.).² He was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).² He held the office of Justice of the Peace (J.P.) for Norfolk.² He succeeded to the title of 3rd Earl of Kimberley, of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [U.K., 1866] on 7 January 1932.² He succeeded to the title of 10th Baronet Wodehouse, of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [E., 1611] on 7 January 1932.² He succeeded to the title of 5th Baron Wodehouse of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [G.B., 1797] on 7 January 1932.²

     Mary Brandling was the daughter of Colonel John James Brandling.¹ She married Lt.-Col. Leonard Howard Loyd Irby, son of Rear-Admiral Hon. Frederick Paul Irby and Frances Wright, on 22 January 1884.¹ She died in July 1939.¹
     Her married name became Irby.

     
     Colonel John James Brandling was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.).¹ He gained the rank of Colonel in the service of the Royal Horse Artillery.¹

     John Wodehouse, 4th Earl of Kimberley was born on 12 May 1924.¹ He was the son of John Wodehouse, 3rd Earl of Kimberley and Francis Margaret Irby.¹ He married, firstly, Diana Evelyn Legh, daughter of Lt.-Col. Hon. Sir Piers Walter Legh and Sarah Polk Bradford, on 27 October 1945.¹ He and Diana Evelyn Legh were divorced in 1949.¹ He married, secondly, Carmel June Maguire, daughter of Michael Maguire, on 9 February 1949.¹ He and Carmel June Maguire were divorced in 1952.¹ He married, thirdly, Cynthia Abdy Collins, daughter of Eric Abdy Collins, on 15 September 1953.¹ He and Cynthia Abdy Collins were divorced in 1961.¹ He married, fourthly, Margaret Simons, daughter of Albert Simons, on 7 July 1961.¹ He and Margaret Simons were divorced in 1965.¹ He married, fifthly, Gillian Ireland-Smith, daughter of Colonel Norman Ireland-Smith, on 8 August 1970.¹ He and Gillian Ireland-Smith were divorced in 1982.¹ He married, sixthly, Sarah Jane Hope Consett, daughter of Lt.-Col. Christopher D'Arcy Preston Consett, on 20 August 1982.¹ He died on 26 May 2002 at age 78.¹
     John Wodehouse, 4th Earl of Kimberley was educated at Eton College, Eton, Berkshire, England.¹ He succeeded to the title of 6th Baron Wodehouse of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [G.B., 1797] on 16 April 1941.¹ He succeeded to the title of 4th Earl of Kimberley, of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [U.K., 1866] on 16 April 1941.¹ He succeeded to the title of 11th Baronet Wodehouse, of Kimberley, co. Norfolk [E., 1611] on 16 April 1941.¹ He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the service of the Grenadier Guards.¹ He fought in the Second World War between 1942 and 1945.¹ He was educated at Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.¹ He held the office of Member of the Norfolk County Council in 1946.¹ He was chairman of J & P Security Services Ltd in 1994.¹ He wrote the book The Whim of the Wheel, published 2001.¹
