     Michael John Marshal Clarke was born on 3 February 1927.1 He is the son of Admiral Sir Marshal Llewelyn Clarke and Ina Leonora Edwards.2,1 He married Flavia Dorothea Coryton, daughter of Air Chief Marshal Sir William Alec Coryton, on 4 November 1954.1
     He was educated at St. Edward's School, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG).1 He graduated from Trinity College, Oxford University, Oxford, Oxfordshire, EnglandG, with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.)1 He gained the rank of Lieutenant in the Rifle Brigade.1 He was with ICI in 1951.1 He lived in 1976 at Osbaston House, Monmouth, Monmouthshire, WalesG.1

     Flavia Dorothea Coryton is the daughter of Air Chief Marshal Sir William Alec Coryton.2 She married Michael John Marshal Clarke, son of Admiral Sir Marshal Llewelyn Clarke and Ina Leonora Edwards, on 4 November 1954.1
     From 4 November 1954, her married name became Clarke.

Brian Lloyd Clarke1

     Brian Lloyd Clarke was born on 30 September 1888.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. Sir Marshal James Clarke and Annie Stacy Lloyd.2,1 He was also reported to have died killed in action on 19 April 1915.1
     He gained the rank of Captain in the Indian Army.1 He fought in the First World War.1

     Eliza Clarke was the daughter of Reverend Mark Clarke and Maria Hill.2 She married Edward Falconer Litton, son of Daniel Litton and Jane Minchin, on 5 March 1861.1 She died in January 1873.1
