     Cléonice Gamble was born circa 1884.2 She was the daughter of Major George Francis Gamble.3 She married Maj.-Gen. Sir William James Norman Cooke-Collis, son of Lt.-Col. William Cooke-Collis and Catherine Maria Oliphant, on 30 January 1906.1 She died on 29 December 1967.1
      From 30 January 1906, her married name became Cooke-Collis.

     He was educated at Harrow School, Harrow on the Hill, London, England.1 He graduated from Magdalene College, Cambridge University, Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England, in 1935 with a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.).1 He fought in the Second World War.1 He was invested as a Member, Order of the British Empire (M.B.E.) in 1945.1 He gained the rank of Major in the service of the Scots Guards.1 He lived in 1976 at Stable House, Berechurch Hall, Colchester, Essex, England.1
