     Major William Jocelyn Rhys Wingfield was born on 25 March 1873. He was the son of Edward Rhys Wingfield and Edith Caroline Wood. He married Sybil Annesley Giana Markham, daughter of Colonel William Thomas Markham, on 16 October 1902. He died on 10 July 1942 at age 69.
     He gained the rank of Major in the service of the 19th Hussars.1

     Sybil Annesley Giana Markham was the daughter of Colonel William Thomas Markham. She married Major William Jocelyn Rhys Wingfield, son of Edward Rhys Wingfield and Edith Caroline Wood, on 16 October 1902. She died on 2 April 1959.
      Sybil Annesley Giana Markham also went by the nick-name of June. Her married name became Wingfield.

     Katherine Patricia Cooke-Collis was born on 10 March 1907.1 She is the daughter of Maj.-Gen. Sir William James Norman Cooke-Collis and Cléonice Gamble.2 She married Major William Thomas Rhys Wingfield, son of Major William Jocelyn Rhys Wingfield and Sybil Annesley Giana Markham, on 5 June 1936.1
      Katherine Patricia Cooke-Collis usually went by her middle name of Patricia. Her married name became Wingfield.

     Maj.-Gen. Sir William James Norman Cooke-Collis was born on 7 May 1876.1 He was the son of Lt.-Col. William Cooke-Collis and Catherine Maria Oliphant.2 He married Cléonice Gamble, daughter of Major George Francis Gamble, on 30 January 1906.1 He died on 14 April 1941 at age 64.1
     He was educated at Cheltenham College, Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England.1 He fought in the Boer War, where he was mentioned in despatches.1 He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in despatches eight times.1 He was decorated with the award of the Order of St. Stanislaus of Russia (3rd class with swords).1 He was decorated with the award of the Companion, Distinguished Service Order (D.S.O.) in 1918.1 He was decorated with the award of the Officer, Legion d'Honneur.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of St. Michael and St. George (C.M.G.) in 1919.1 He was Military Governor of Batoum in 1919.1 He was invested as a Companion, Order of the Bath (C.B.) in 1920.1 He gained the rank of Major-General in the service of the Royal Ulster Rifles.1 He was Brigade Commander of the 11th Infantry Brigade between 1927 and 1931.1 He held the office of Aide-de-Camp to HM King George VI between 1930 and 1931.1 He was Commander of the 55th (West Lancashire) Division, Territorial Army between 1934 and 1935.1 He was General Officer Commanding of the Northern Ireland District between 1935 and 1938.1 He was invested as a Knight Commander, Order of the British Empire (K.B.E.) in 1937.1 He was Ulster Agent in London in 1938.1 He lived at Castle Cooke, County Cork, Ireland.1
